Here I Am!
Stevie Wonder’s amazing “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” tells the story of someone coming back to a relationship they’d abandoned.:
Like the fool I went and stayed too long,
Now I’m wondering if your love’s still strong
Ooh baby, here I am
signed, sealed, delivered, I’m yours!
But the good news is, God is constantly trying to remind us that no matter where we’ve gone or how much time we’ve spent away, God is right there, ready to help us make the world a better place. Check out Isaiah 41 which reads:
Do not fear, for I am with you,
do not be afraid, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.
Here at Motown Mission we are constantly in awe of young people who return to places every summer to work alongside neighbors lending a hand and partnering in God’s resilient grace..
So as you prepare for your week of service, take a minute to talk about these questions that help us feel signed, sealed, and delivered in God’s love.

When have you felt comforted by the presence of another person. Who were they and what fears did they help ease for you?
What strengths do you imagine God will give you during a week of service in Detroit?
What other songs do you turn on when you need help or to be upheld.
