For our 2024 season we are revamping our registration process to provide our volunteers with better preparation materials, deeper connections, more resources, and ongoing communications before, during and after your trip. Your $25/month MotownMission+ membership includes your registration and all monthly contributions are attributed to your group’s total costs.

  • One-on-One scheduling and onboarding for your upcoming week of service.

  • Monthly video conference calls with other group leaders on topics like: What To Expect, Theology of Service, Fundraising and more.

  • Immediate access to our group leaders Discord channel to hear from others about Detroit and serving with Motown Mission.

  • Priority messaging access with Motown Mission staff.

  • Meet and greet project partners and accommodation church leaders before your arrival.

  • It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more.

  • $299/person includes accommodations for 6 nights, work projects for 5 days, meals, evening programming, daily digital devos, one nighttime fun event, t-shirt and access to the Motown Mission discord server.

  • Log in as a MotownMission+ member to access our Group Info page. The form there will help you choose dates and send in details about your group’s needs, skills and preferences for your week.

  • Motown Mission follows CDC guidelines regarding COVID precautions. If group members become COVID positive while on your trip we will do our best to help your team find appropriate housing and work for your week if possible.

  • As a United Methodist affiliated organization we follow Wesleyan theological teaching. We believe all persons are of sacred worth. We believe that we are called to “do all the good we can” for others because Jesus Christ has done such good for us.

  • Yes! While we speak and reflect from a particular religious perspective we welcome all participants ready to work with neighbors on projects that build up the beloved community.
