We are pleased to announce Provisional Deacon Sarah Alexander as our new Director of the Motown Mission Experience.

Motown Mission looks forward to Sarah's arrival at the beginning of our Summer 2016 season.

Motown Mission looks forward to Sarah's arrival at the beginning of our Summer 2016 season.

After a rewarding search and interview process that brought the YLI Board into contact with many great candidates, Sarah Alexander has been chosen to lead our Motown Mission program.

Sarah has recently served as a youth ministry coordinator in a local United Methodist Church, building up their leadership team, missions and discipleship offerings.  She has also served with Motown Mission through her role there.

Recently, Sarah completed a year of Field Education through the Methodist Theological School in Ohio with Motown Mission.  While serving with us in that capacity Sarah provided in-person leadership for our Summer 2015 staff, helped redevelop our job descriptions and strategies for Summer staff, and participated in spiritual and ministry discernment with previous director Rev. Carl Gladstone.  These conversations and Sarah's upcoming start as full time Motown Mission leader will help guide this ministry into its next era of success.

Motown Mission looks forward to Sarah's arrival at the beginning of our Summer 2016 season.  And we celebrate the new skills she brings to our central mission of helping young people share in God's transformational community here in Detroit, MI.

Thanks,
The Young Leaders Initiative Board of Directors
